We started Den & Paw for one cat.

When I moved into a small apartment with my cat Miso, I watched her flatten. Less play, more napping in the same square of sun, the occasional 3am sprint that felt more like frustration than fun. The vet's advice was clear: indoor cats need more stimulation than outdoor ones, not less — and most of what's sold in pet shops barely scratches the surface.

Den & Paw is the result of two years of trying everything. Every toy, feeder, and perch in this store earned its place by passing one test: did it actually change Miso's day? If the answer was no, it didn't make the cut.

We keep the range small on purpose. A handful of products instead of two hundred, each one chosen because it engages a real feline instinct — hunt, forage, climb, or rest. If you've ever felt guilty about leaving your cat home alone, you're our person. Welcome in.

What we believe

Indoor doesn't have to mean understimulated. A cat in the wild spends six hours a day hunting, climbing, and patrolling territory. A cat in a one-bedroom apartment spends most of that time waiting for you to come home. Den & Paw exists to close the gap — with a small, deliberate range of products that engage your cat's real instincts, every day.

How we choose what we sell

Every product passes one test: does it make an indoor cat's day measurably better? If a toy doesn't trigger a real instinct, if a feeder doesn't slow a meal down, if a perch doesn't feel safe enough for a cat to actually sleep on — it doesn't make the cut. We'd rather sell ten products that work than two hundred that don't.
